By 1996, they changed their name to CDL Electric, and their services already included maintaining signals and providing electrical services for companies in the short line railroad business. Of course they didn’t stop there, expansion continued, not for its own sake but once again, to use their increasing pool of skilled and specialized professionals to better serve their customers. The business grew organically with and their logo “One Company, many solutions.” fit their business better every day.
Their commitment to that mission shows no signs of stopping, and CDL Electric now has divisions for business signs, generators, solar energy, security radios, systems and alarms. They’ve also added plumbing, high voltage maintenance, refrigeration and heating and air. They’ve also expanded services and customer base in the short line railroad industry. Recent years have only accelerated their growth, always with what the company can offer foremost in mind.
Today, CDL Electric is one of the biggest companies in the Pittsburg, Kansas area, and Pittsburg 2016 employer of the year. They employ over 300 people in their 12 divisions, throughout the 4 state region, continuing to offer a wide range of service for any electrical services customer.
